Our Vision
We are here.
At Foothills Fetal Alcohol Society, our vision for the past 25 years has been to provide unwavering support to individuals living with Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD) and their families in the rural communities surrounding Calgary. Our mission is multi-faceted, encompassing diagnosis assessments for children, promoting healthy pregnancies, community education about the disorder, and working tirelessly to eradicate the stigma attached to FASD. Through our continuous efforts, we aim to create a more inclusive and understanding environment for those affected by FASD.
Our commitment to assessing children for potential FASD diagnosis is rooted in early intervention and support. By identifying and addressing the unique needs of each individual, we strive to improve their quality of life and empower them to reach their full potential. Furthermore, our initiatives to educate the community about FASD aim to foster compassion, reduce misconceptions, and encourage a more supportive environment for those living with the disorder. We firmly believe that spreading awareness and accurate information is key to building a more inclusive society.
Over the years, our organization has been dedicated to assisting individuals in having healthy pregnancies to prevent FASD and offering a range of support services to enhance the overall well-being of those affected by the disorder. By tackling the societal stigma surrounding FASD, we aspire to create a more understanding and accepting society where individuals with FASD are embraced for who they are. Foothills Fetal Alcohol Society remains steadfast in our mission to advocate, educate, and support individuals and families impacted by FASD, striving to make a lasting positive impact in the lives of those we serve.
By tailoring our support to each person, we aim to empower them to achieve their full potential.
