The Foothills Fetal Alcohol Society is seeking to recruit passionate individuals to join their Board. 

The Foothills Fetal Alcohol Society is a non-profit registered charity located in High River, Alberta and serving South Central Alberta.  Our mission is to enhance capacity for the prevention of Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD) and for the provision of care and support to rural communities. We have provided these services to communities in South Central Alberta for over 16 years.

Our vision is a response today for a world without FASD tomorrow and our mandate is to increase resilience and reduce harm through relational support.

We offer a variety of supports and programs including: Family Response, which provides support to caregivers, connects support systems, and assists with the diagnostic assessment process; Adult Response, which provides support to adults who are interested in finding ways to reach their potential; Professional Response, which provides consultations, workshops, and in-services for professionals working with people affected by FASD; Community Response, which assists communities with the developments and maintenance of prevention and awareness initiatives and Pregnancy Response which mothers in all trimesters to have a healthy and happy pregnancy.

The value we are seeking in our Board Members are integrity, honesty, trust, and respect for all.  A commitment to advocating for Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder in the wider community.  Knowledge of and commitment to inclusiveness. Background in philanthropy or fund development would be an asset.
